Understanding English

I came to Mexico City from Chicago, Illinois, in 1945.

It meant a new life, a new family, and a new language.

Spanish grammar is very different than English, it has a specific word for every small detail.

Hearing students speak English after so much grammar had much to be desired.

For the lack of a large vocabulary, we cover areas neglected with the contents of “Understanding English.”
